This weekend I had the pleasure to record with Dr Natalie Bradley with regards to her dental journey and her passion projects – her blog and working with the homeless.
NHS dentistry can certianly take its toll but working with the vulnerable patients, such as the homeless, can really be the reward and passion we are missing.
The easiest way of getting involved as a GDP with the homeless is through the charity Crisis for Christmas, where you can volunteer for extractions, fillings and scales. They deliver a huge range of services including catering, befriending, healthcare and massage and podiatry.
The first video on working with the homeless is now on the Youtube channel and via the link below. I’ve also listed Natalie’s blog, Tooth Germ and the website for Crisis for Christmas. Registration for the latter opens in October.
